Day 1: Arrival in Fairbanks – Aurora Viewing

Arrive in Fairbanks and check into your hotel. In the evening, join a guided Aurora viewing experience in the wilderness. Enjoy a peaceful night under the dancing Northern Lights.

Day 2: Santa Claus House – Chena Hot Springs – Wilderness Aurora Viewing

Visit the famous Santa Claus House in North Pole village, then continue to Chena Hot Springs for a relaxing soak in a natural sulfur spring. You may also visit the Aurora Ice Museum (entry fee: US$20/person).

  1. Bring a swimsuit, towel, slippers, and 50¢ coins for locker rental.

Day 3: Free Day – Choose Your Own Adventure

Enjoy a free day to explore or join one of the exciting optional activities:

  • Fly & Drive Arctic Circle: English-speaking guide. Please reserve the hotel shuttle one day prior to departure.
  • Dog Sledding: Ride through the snow with professional mushers.
  • Snowmobiling: Requires driver’s license and basic English communication skills.
  • Ice Fishing: A fishing license is required ($15/person, under 16 free).
  • Denali Hiking Tour: Includes free crampons and a professional guide (minimum 4 participants). Bring hiking boots, jacket, socks, and sunglasses.

Day 4: Check-in at Borealis Basecamp – Igloo Stay

After breakfast, pack your luggage and check out. Around 11:30 AM, take the Aurora Shuttle to Borealis Basecamp, located in the outskirts of Fairbanks. Upon arrival, you may leave your luggage at the front desk and enjoy some free time or join pre-booked winter activities before check-in at 4:00 PM.

The Igloos at Borealis Basecamp are situated on a hill away from the city lights, offering the best possible environment to view the magnificent Northern Lights without obstruction. Enjoy a relaxing day surrounded by pristine wilderness — optional winter experiences such as snowmobiling, dog sledding, and reindeer walks are available. For details, please refer to the Additional Services section.

Day 5: Departure – Fairbanks Airport (FAI)

Today marks the end of your Alaska journey. Please pack your belongings and check your personal items carefully before departure. Hotel check-out time is 11:00 AM. Complimentary hotel shuttle service is available to Fairbanks Airport — please reserve in advance at the front desk.

If you are departing from Borealis Basecamp Igloo, the return shuttle departs at 8:00 AM or 11:00 AM, with a travel time of approximately 1.5 hours. Please plan your outbound flight accordingly.

Fairbanks Airport — Complimentary Pickup Service

  • Our agency offers a fixed-schedule free airport pickup for guests arriving at Fairbanks International Airport within the designated hours (13:00–21:00, based on actual flight arrival time).
  • Each booking includes one complimentary pickup within this time window. Please provide detailed flight information when reserving your pickup service. If flight details are not provided at least 72 hours before arrival, pickup cannot be arranged.
  • Pickup location: Fairbanks International Airport, Baggage Claim #1.
  • Guests with similar arrival times may share the same shuttle, which may require a short wait at the airport. We appreciate your understanding.
